- 2 medium sweet potatoes You may only need 1 sweet potato (depending on the size of the sweet potatoes and size of air fryer.)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 tsp salt *Do not add if making for a baby
Preheat air fryer to 200℃ / 390℉
Wash and scrub the sweet potatoes, then pat them dry and cut off the ends.
Slice each potato in half lengthways. Place the cut side down on your chopping board and slice at an angle to create wedges. For medium-sized potatoes, cutting each half into thirds or quarters works well.
Add the sweet potato wedges to a mixing bowl, drizzle with oil, and sprinkle with smoked paprika (and salt if using). Toss well to coat.
Arrange the wedges in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding — you may need to cook in batches.
Air fry for 15-18 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking, until the wedges are golden and crispy.
Once cooked, let the wedges sit on the tray for a couple of minutes before serving — this helps them crisp up even more.
Seasoning Ideas: For a flavour twist, try sumac for a citrusy touch, cinnamon for sweetness, or Italian herbs for a herby kick
Crispiness Tip: Preheating your air fryer and avoiding overcrowding will help achieve the crispiest results.
OVEN BAKE: Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (390°F) for 30-35 minutes, flipping halfway through.
