Chocolate Orange Energy Balls
These Chocolate Orange Energy Balls are packed full of nuts, bound with dates and flavoured with orange, cacao and cinnamon.
Servings 25 balls
- 200g (1.5 cups) Dry Roasted Mixed Nuts (I used pistachio, cashew, hazelnuts, macadamia, almonds and walnuts) * SEE NOTE 1
- 4 Medjool Dates
- 1 tbsp Cacao Powder
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 1/2 Naval Orange (juice and zest)
Add the mixed nuts to a food processor and blend until they have broken down into a crumb.
Add the dates, cacao powder, cinnamon, orange juice and half the zest. Blend until fully combined.
Using your hands, roll heaped teaspoons of the mixture into balls. I made 25 balls from the mixture.
Sprinkle the remaining zest on top of the balls.

- For a nut-free version, you can replace the nuts with 90g (1/2 cup) of oats. You may also wish to add some desiccated coconut or coconut oil.
