Equipment

  • 1 High Speed Blender

Ingredients

  • ½ cooked beetroot can use raw (peeled and chopped) if using a high-speed blender
  • 1 frozen banana, sliced
  • 1 cup (140g) frozen mixed berries
  • 1 apple, seeded and diced
  • ¼ cup (60g) natural Greek yogurt
  • ½ cup (125 ml) milk

Instructions

  • Add all the ingredients to the blender (see note 1) and pulse to break up the frozen fruit. Start on a slow speed and gradually increase the speed to high. Blend on high until all ingredients are fully blended.
  • Taste and make any adjustments if needed (more milk to thin, added sweetener if required etc)

Notes

  1. The order you add your ingredients can make a difference in how easily your smoothie will blend. You want the liquid at the bottom, nearest the blade, followed by the softer fruit and finally the frozen fruit.
  2. You can use milk of choice, dairy and dairy-free milk both work.
