Tuna Tomato Pasta
A simple and tasty pasta dish that the whole family will love.
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 Onion finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves crushed
- 500 g Passata / Chopped tomatoes
- 1 tbsp Tomato puree
- 2 x 160g (120g drained) tins of tuna in water. (drained)
- 300 g Dry pasta of choice
Heat the oil over a medium/low heat. Add the onions and cook for around five minutes (until turning translucent) Add the garlic and cook for a further minute.
Add the passata / tinned tomatoes and the tomato puree. Stir.
Add the tuna and stir until combined and the tuna has broken down.
Simmer for around 15 - 20 mins.
Cook the pasta according to the packaging, drain and add to the tuna tomato sauce.
Serve straight away.
Delicious served with a little parmesan and chopped basil.
