Turkey, Quinoa and Apple Burgers

Turkey Quinoa and Apple Burgers


  • 450 g Turkey Mince
  • 1/4 cup quinoa (washed)
  • 2 apples, grated
  • 2 tsp dijon mustard
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder


  • Bring to the boil 1/2 cup of water and add the quinoa. Simmer with the lid on for approx 15 mins (until the water has been absorbed). Allow to cool.
  • In a large mixing bowl add all the ingredients and mix, with your hands, until combined. Be careful not to overwork the mixture. 
  • Form five burgers
  • Fry on a medium heat. When the bottom 1/3 of the burger turns white flip and cook until the burger has no pink bits and the juices run clear. (Or until it reaches an internal temperature of 74c)
